Individual Therapy
Individual psychotherapy is a collaborative and confidential form of therapy designed to support people experiencing emotional, psychological, behavioural, or relational difficulties. Therapy provides a safe space to explore your experiences, gain insight into patterns of thinking and behaviour, develop practical coping strategies, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
People seek therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, OCD, depression, stress, burnout, grief and loss, trauma, personality disorders, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity issues, chronic health disorders, emotional regulation challenges, and personal growth.
At One Mind Health, our clinicians draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and tailor treatment to your individual needs, goals, and preferences. We understand that no two people are the same, and we value building a strong therapeutic relationship founded on trust, warmth, and collaboration.
Talking to a psychologist is different from talking to a friend or family member. Psychologists provide an impartial, professional perspective and are trained to help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and create positive change. Rather than telling you what to do, they work alongside you to develop insight, build skills, and support your wellbeing.
Couples Therapy
Relationships can be one of the most meaningful and rewarding parts of life, but they can also be challenging. Couples often seek support when they find themselves stuck in recurring patterns of conflict, communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, trust issues, or challenges associated with life transitions, parenting, or intimacy.
Couples therapy provides a supportive and non-judgemental space to better understand one another's experiences, improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, and work through difficulties together.
Our clinicians utilise evidence-based approaches informed by attachment theory, emotionally focused principles, systemic thinking, and contemporary relationship research. Therapy is not about deciding who is right or wrong; rather, it focuses on understanding the patterns that maintain distress and helping couples create healthier ways of relating to one another.
Couples therapy can benefit relationships at any stage—not only during times of crisis.
Family Therapy
Families are complex systems, and when one person is struggling, the impact is often felt by everyone. Family therapy provides an opportunity for family members to come together in a supportive environment to improve communication, strengthen relationships, resolve conflicts, and better understand one another.
Family therapy may be helpful for concerns including adolescent difficulties, behavioural challenges, family conflict, separation, blended family adjustments, parenting concerns, mental health difficulties, and major life transitions.
Our clinicians work collaboratively with families to identify strengths, improve understanding, and foster healthier patterns of interaction. The goal is to support the wellbeing of both individuals and the family system as a whole.
ADHD Assessment
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can affect attention, concentration, organisation, emotional regulation, motivation, and day-to-day functioning across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.
At One Mind Health, we offer comprehensive ADHD assessments that involve gathering information from multiple sources to develop a detailed understanding of an individual's strengths, challenges, and developmental history. Assessments typically include clinical interviews, standardised assessment measures, and, where appropriate, input from parents, teachers, partners, or other relevant supports.
An ADHD assessment can provide clarity, help individuals better understand their experiences, and guide recommendations for support, treatment, educational accommodations, or further medical consultation.
Our clinicians are happy to discuss whether an ADHD assessment may be appropriate for you or your family member and explain the assessment process in more detail.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy developed to help people process and recover from distressing life experiences and trauma.
While EMDR is widely recognised for treating post-traumatic stress, it can also be effective for a range of difficulties including anxiety, panic, phobias, low self-esteem, grief, and experiences that continue to affect current functioning and relationships.
EMDR helps the brain process experiences that may have become "stuck" and continue to trigger emotional distress. Through a structured therapeutic process, clients can reduce the emotional impact of difficult memories and develop more adaptive ways of understanding themselves and their experiences.
Our EMDR-trained clinicians work carefully and collaboratively to ensure therapy progresses at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for each individual.
Process Group Therapy
Process Group is a unique form of group psychotherapy that focuses on interpersonal relationships, emotional awareness, and personal growth within a supportive group environment.
Groups typically meet weekly for 90 minutes and are facilitated by two psychologists, with approximately 5–8 members participating at any given time.
Unlike structured groups that focus on a specific topic or skill, process groups are guided by the interactions and experiences that emerge between members. Through authentic dialogue, reflection, and connection, participants develop greater insight into themselves and their relationships with others.
Process groups can help participants:
Increase self-awareness
Improve interpersonal relationships
Develop emotional expression and communication skills
Explore recurring relational patterns
Build a stronger sense of connection and belonging
Process groups are ongoing, long-term groups with no fixed number of sessions. To gain the greatest benefit, members are encouraged to attend consistently and actively engage in the group process.
